  • Such silly scores being given nowadays that the whole idea is undermined. Shame as it was an interesting part of this site once. Even under Pardew the scores were never this irrational and ill thought out.

    For that reason I'm out.

    Jenkinson 6.5 why?
    Jackson 6.5 shame about pen.
Semedo 6 ball hoofed over him mostly.
Racon 7 positive but struggled with pitch.
    Eccleston 6 poor decision making.
    Anyinsah 6.5 kept defence busy.
Wright Phillips 7.5 best game for us.poor pen.
    Wagstaff 7 constant threat.
    N/a Reid no impact.

agree his shirt was on the right way round so worth a 5
and the 2 miracle saves from shots that were slightly off target, were countered by his slight fumble , which doesn't count cos they didn't score from it and his best efforts to make jenkinsons shit back pass look shittier

  • Elliot - 5 - not one of his better games but can't be faulted for the goal.
Francis - 6.5 - looked better when Waggy came on
Dailly - 7 - not a lot wrong from what i could see.
Doherty - 7 - no fan of his but did nothing wrong today
Jenkinson - 7 - did well for a young man
    Jackson - 5 - fairly ineffectual again
Semedo - 7 - good in the centre, won a lot.
    Racon - 5 - poor today
Eccleston - 6 - some good flashes but not enough
Anyinsah - 6.5 - a couple of nice runs with the ball
Wright Phillips - 4 - dreadful penalty, should have done better when their keeper fumbled first half and looked uninterested
Wagstaff - 7.5 - tried his heart out and gave his best
    N/a Reid

TV so always a little hard to tell because you miss the movement off the ball
  • Televisual;

Elliot - 6.5 Did ok and coped with a difficult surface well when kicking.
Francis - 6 Showed plenty of confidence coming forward but not his best for delivery. Needs a rest from corners...should be in the box himself, near post.
    Dailly - 6 Was ok.
Doherty - 6 Was ok. Some people would have you believe that the County forwards had dozens of chances. They didn't.
Jenkinson - 6.5 Was doing really well until he started to get over ambitious with the passing. Had a good game.
Jackson - 5.5 One nice low ball but not a lot else.
Semedo 6.5 Kept going and even set up a chance for NE.
Racon - 6 Tried hard but struggles to shine. Better than McCormack but this is his level.
Eccleston - 5.5 Some good bits but faded.
Anyinsah - 6 Plenty of effort but he's been struggling in front of goal for a while now. His league goal record is pretty bad and he needs to get a few soon.
Wright Phillips - 5.5 Couple of nice links, terrible penalty, couple of pot-shots. Not his day.
Wagstaff - 6 Did ok and if anyone was going to sneak a goal 2nd half it was him.
Reid - 4 Couldn't get the ball (might've been partly his own fault). Thought he should've been brought on for Jackson. Surely he could take in-swinging corners to allow Francis to get in the box? Would've at least given him something to do!
  • Elliot 6
    Francis 6.5
    Dailly 6
    Doherty 6
Jenkinson 7.5 Early doors but I'm thinking we have a good young prospect here? Bit raw maybe but I'm liking him already.
    Jackson 6
    Semedo 7 Good solid performance.
Racon 6.5 flashes of class but not enough.
Eccleston 6 I think the whack he got 1st half slowed him up a bit. Poor composure for his 1 on 1.
Anyinsah 7 Always causing problems. Keeper should have seen red for his assault on Joe.
Wright Phillips 6 lost a mark for his penalty miss and failure to be more ruthless with 1st half chance.
Wagstaff 6.5 made an effort to be possitive.

    Racon - 5
Eccleston - 4 Lightweight, never a right midfielder, can't tackle, loses the ball too often, having said that better than Wagstaff though!
Anyinsah - 6.5 good effort needs to start scoring though
Wright Phillips - 4 Almost as bad as killer Hales outside the box, another forward with a shit first touch. Just as well he scores some goals, dreadful penalty
Wagstaff - 3 Headless chicken, don't understand other comments saying he did ok

  • What's the point in this ratings thread if people are going to give players such low marks. I mean 4.5 for Ecclestone? He didn't have his best game but it's not like he scored an own goal or got sent off or something. Those marks will just ruin the averages for the season.
  • So typical of our fans. We bossed the game and they scored a fluke goal. Bwp was shocking today, not just his pen but his touch was shocking
  • If BWP scored the pen, and the game ended in a draw. Think the marks would be very different. The Performance in hand wasn't too bad. Personally think Racon had a solid game, he defends better then McCormack tracks players off the ball wins headers, and he got forward when he had the ball problem imo is Doherty lumping it bypassing the midfield.

Never mind 4.5 - some muppet above gave him a 3 for f***s sake. I know that has been done to death, but we really have got some f***ing mugs that call themselves 'supporters'. TBH I'm getting so sick of all of it I might just chuck it in completely next year. Before anyone chimes in, it's nothing to do with us being in a pub league - the whole experience just isn't enjoyable any more for me. Most of the people I've been going with for 20-odd years have drifted away in the last five or six seasons. The last two years have been f***ing horrible - not so much because the team is crap (though that obviously doesn't help!) but because the ratio of complete f***wits that go to see us has gone up so markedly in such a short space of time. It just isn't fun any more - I can count the number of times I've had an enjoyable matchday experience in the past five years on the fingers of two hands.
