Not judging, as I wasn't there, but what did you see Llera do wrong that no one else saw?
  • I wasn't there, and appreciate that it was as disappointing as 95% of Charlton cup performances since Wembley, but ratings of 2 & 3 I would expect if I was playing - not a professional footballer. Interesting that most people's motm (thus far) gets a mind-blowing 2 from one person.
  • He wasn't anywhere near a 2 neither was any of the players . Llera had one of his best games in a Charlton shirt ( not that there have been many).

(EDIT AS I GAVE WAGGY THE SAME SCORE AS RACON UNINTENTIONALLY)
  • Elliot - 6
Francis - 4 (needs to find a bit of form)
Llera - 7.5 (very pleased for him - MOTM- a solid effort, from a man that I usually view a pure liability)
    Fortune - 6 (OK)
Jackson - 7 (Is a very good player at the minute)
Wagstaff - 5 (Very quiet going forward today)
Racon - 7 (worked very hard and showed some lovely skill at times)
Reid - 6.5 (bags of tricks and a couple of lovely crosses, especially for JA's goal)
McCormack - 6 (put lots in)
Anyinsah - 6.5 (simple goal and a whole lot of running)
Benson - 5 (not his day, but many days to come will be)

He made some decent blocks and headers. He defended really well.
  • Not one player deserved more than a 6 very abject and effortless performance
  • Elliot 7. Unlucky with the penalty
Francis 4. Not good at all
    Llera 8 Played well
    Fortune 6
    Jackson 6.5
Wagstaff 5 Big fan of Waggy but did he turn up
    Racon 7
Reid 6. He loses the ball trying to be flash and NEVER covers back
    McCormack 6
    Anyinsah 7
    Benson 5

Elliot 6 Although he had no chance with the goals for the first time I could sort of understand why ooh ahh bangs on like he does.
Francis 6 shaky but doesn't hide
Llera 6.5 I like Big Mig and he was good in the air but shaky on the ground as best exemplified by his air shot!
Fortune 6 Gets effort marks because he tried but slow and shaky. Nowhere near the Fortune I used to like and defend on here.
Jackson 7.5 Took his goal well and worked hard. My MOM by a short head.
Wagstaff 6 Not much to offer going forward but worked hard helping Francis out defensively
Racon 6.5 Featured more than McCormack and did some good things but still disappeared too much.
Reid 7 Good run and cross for Joe's goal. More like his old self.
McCormack 5 Anonymous much of the time and allowed Luton to boss the game for long periods.. Semedo needs to come back in pronto
Anyinsah 7 Took his goal well and worked the opposition defence. Not fully fit
Benson 6 Poor by recent standards but little service

N/A Sodje 6 No real impact good or bad today.

Constntly out of possition... if Francis wasnt playing as a 3rd centre back we wouldve been majorly exposed. 90% of the time committed himsrlf when going in to tackle
  • edited November 2010
Llera's positioning was spot on . How you can say he was constantly out of position is beyond me.
He cut everything out in the air and apart from a nervy first 20 minutes he also put in some good tackles in the second half.

It's apparent that some people understand how to mark players. And some people don't.

The time the ball went through all Llera had to do was kick it, swung his foot and missed kicked it..Another time, got beaten in the air numerous times by that 5ft nothing fella. That number 9 was fast, but beat him everytime he had the ball, never got in front of his man, He didn't play well, and against better oppenents would have got majorly embarrased.

Congratulations you've just described Fortune's performance in a nutshell.

Llera was solid throughout. Lost next to nothing in the air and made a number of key interceptions\tackles on the deck.

He had one air kick and that is all people choose to remember.

The bloke deserves credit for yesterday.
