Will try Sneaker Pimps, I've played Portishead and Morcheeba to death. If I hear the opening lines to Down By The Sea again, I'm gonna stick my head through the bandsaw. Cheers for suggestions pal.

(Queue someone stick up Down By The Sea - Morcheeba)

A shame to say I only heard of Kenny Rankin this evening.
    he's been dead since 2009.

Does such fantastic job with one of my favorite standards.

Cheers. You will of course be well aware of them, since you are French, but Moon Safari by Air was the very definition of chilled out dance by the turn of the millennium.

    Guillemots - Through the windowpane

haven't listened to this album in a few years but it fits so well with the sunshine.

love the last track, 'Sao Paulo'. its as if they used every instrument they had and then said you know what it still feels like it needs something more. I think I've got it, church bells and a flipping gong! lets do this.

The sound Defects and their album the iron horse might be worth a listen to. bit trip hop like. quite chilled though.

Tycho and Bonobo are both good. Tycho probably a bit more electronic. Youth Lagoon are good as well, even more chilled.

also there's that retro sounding synth electronic artists. Electric Youth being one.

Dug out Le cimetiere des arlequins by Ange.
A real blast from the past and still sounding good to me.
Ange are a French band from the 70s.
