Bottom four in the table this weekend:

Sheffield United : Lost
West Ham : Lost
Watford : Lost

Charlton : Drew!

It is not just winning X matches, it is a case of identifying your rivals and doing better than them.

    A long way to go, but apparently Portsmouth last year turned it round from 18 points after 28 games. So there is hope.

    Here's what happened - Dowie got sacked, Pardew was appointed and there we just pretend the other 41 days didn't happen. (No offence intended to Les who, by almost all accounts, is a decent guy)

    Pompey also had £20m odd to spend, which kinda helps.

    However I agree with your sentiment, there were a lot of positives to take from the performance.
