There's a little crew of Danny Dyer loving youngsters that go but if there's any trouble it's more likely to come in town from other visitors (stag do's, etc) than AFCB fans. Just enjoy the trip and don't worry about stuff like that IMO.

As I recall, on our first ever visit to Hereford with Theo at the helm, one or two of the boys from the Valley Away bus were delivered some very heavy handed treatment by the OB.
When The Chief of Police was called to the scene to let us know why, part of the response was 'we had a lot of trouble with Bournemouth supporters last week'!
We then had a police escort back to the Severn Bridge in case we weren't happy with his reasoning!

You have a choice of 3 buses from Corfe to Wareham. Then a train every 30 mins from Wareham to Bournemouth.

    Looking forward to the weekend.

Heading with half a dozen mates (none of whom are CAFC sadly)

One has promised to come to the game while the others are waiting to see what the weather's like and will then make a decision of whether to come and have a look at Jonjo (and see if he's as good as I've been telling them) or hit the beach for some perving...

Thanks FTP, I was resigned to paying £40 +, but have just picked up a return for a tenner. Good work...

Hope the weather holds out....come on you Addicks!

Are tickets available on the door? Any idea how much? Might take in the Goat & Tricycle and then get a bus.

given the current weather I expect they'll all be at the game then (or in the pub!)

I've got a rare weekend off from DJ'ing this weekend, so I've badgered the wife all week to have a nice weekend in Bournemouth. She finally succumbed today. So straight on the internet to find accomodation. Decided to stay outside of Bournemouth at an Oldie Worldie pub in Ringwood. This was the telephone conversation when booking:-

Me:- I'd like to book a double en-suite for this weekend please.

Booking Clerk:- We've got one room left, you come from the East End don't you.

Me:- South London actually, but I married an Essex girl, why do you ask?

Clerk:- You sound like someone famous!

Me:- Who might that be then.

    Clerk:- Alan Curbishley!

Me:- (after being extremely taken aback!) I don't believe you just said that, I support Charlton and I'm down for the weekend to see them play Bournemouth (and give the wife a good time of course!)

I kid you not, this was the conversation.

So it's official - I am Alan Curbishley!

    Why thank you kind sir!

So, to all you lot going on Saturday and want to buy Alan Curbishley a drink, I will be happy to accept.

Just so you know me, I'm 6' 1'' with a bit of a beer belly, mid fifties. But apparently I sound like the great man (over the phone anyway!)

Not sure I'd be too happy with that comparison myself. My missus always said he sounds like he was on the verge of toppng himself when he's on the tele.

Some Charlton know Bournemouth through the Rangers supporters network etc so very much doubt there will be any trouble.

Yeah, just under 20 minutes walk.

Zoom out a bit and Bournemouth station is a bit further on, about 30 minutes walk.
