    I think they used to hang convicted pirates on the warfs at Greenwich and Deptford.


    Was a famous Pirate from Deptford. He had one eye , one hand, wooden leg, and piles. His name was Lucky Bill.

    The customs man asks him "Where are your Buccaneers?" and gets the answer "On the side of me Buccan head like they always are!"
